NATHAN MINERD
President

Nathan Minerd has a wealth of experience in public affairs, communications and organizational management.  Nathan is the President of Momentum Strategy Group, a public affairs and business consulting firm, where he helps clients influence government policy, improve communications with customers and key stakeholders, build grassroots support for ideas, initiatives and programs, and open markets for products and services.

 

Previously, Nathan served as Director of Corporate Relations for Columbus Housing Partnership, where he developed and managed external relationships, oversaw the creation and implementation of new marketing and communications strategies, and was responsible for overseeing fundraising efforts.

 

Nathan has over seventeen years of experience in the government and political arenas.  He was the Director of Legislative Affairs for Ohio’s juvenile corrections system.  In this role, he oversaw the government relations and communications programs of a cabinet-level state agency with over 3,000 staff.  He was directly responsible for the passage of numerous pieces of legislation in the Ohio General Assembly, including the agency’s $280 million annual budget.

 

Nathan also served as Special Assistant to the Governor of Ohio, advising on public safety, homeland security and criminal justice issues, while overseeing five cabinet-level state agencies, including the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio Department of Corrections and the State Highway Patrol. 

 

Nathan is a veteran of numerous political and issue campaigns, serving as a senior consultant and advisor to elected officials and campaigns across Ohio.  Through this campaign work, he has built strong coalitions and managed large, diverse networks of grassroots activists and advocates around common causes and candidates.

 

Nathan resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and two daughters.
